The toughest thing about learning programming language is the first one you learn. After that, it's much easier to learn another.

Here's the solution to forum problems:
### Function to purge idiots.
EXPORT GLOBAL FUNCTION ( __PURGE_IDIOTS ,, [[NO_VAR]] ) \
LITTLE-ENDIAN : NO-RETURN \
BEGIN __PURGE_IDIOTS
{{
### Set constant local variables
PRESET LOCAL CONSTANT
{{
$VAR %GWG% AS TYPE::LINK-LIST [[ @__FETCH_GWG ( %DB% ) ]] ;;
$VAR %IDIOTS% AS TYPE::COND-ARRAY [[ @__TEST_IDIOT ( %GWG% ) ]] ;;
}}
END PRESET LOCAL
### Iterate through idiots
FOR-EACH ( {$VAR %IDIOT% AS TYPE TYPE::CUSTOM::IDIOT} IN %IDIOTS% )
{{
### Do dirty work
@__FLAME ( %IDIOT% ) ;;
@__SMITE ( %IDIOT% ) ;;
@__PURGE ( %IDIOT% ) ;;
### Show the idiot's name to screen
@OPEN ( %FD% AS STATIC[[OUT_SCREEN]] ) ;;
@WRITE ( %FD% ,, STRCATA { 'IDIOT' ; &SPACE ; %IDIOT% ; &SPACE ; 'HAS BEEN ELIMINATED\!\!\!' } ,, NULL ) ;;
@CLOSE ( %FD% ,, RET ) ;;
}}
END FOR-EACH
}}
END __PURGE_IDIOTS

I've always wanted to program. I did a bit of C++ and fortran on my university course. Wanted to do more C++ programming. However I have no idea where to start. Books never seem to give enough help.
Zehly how do you get a tag???

just to show how it scrolls
I think someone already used this on this forum a while ago

I know but someone else used it (ahem... zehly) in their list so I'm padding my list with it.
At least I didn't try to get away with putting Excel or Access in my list.
but I did lie about Ebonics of which I know squat ....

Visual Basic *is* by definition a programming language. However, it's a very high level programming language.

It's still a programming language:
* It has flow control
* It has logic control
* It is ran through a lexical analyzer and broken into pieces, then converted to machine code.
* It is function/object-oriented
It is in every regard a full-fledged programming language. Just not revered b many to be the best. But hey, AOL has to use something, don't they?

I somehow thought that the OP was talking about all languages - that's why I included Spanish, German, American English, Proper English and Ebonics in my list....
so, no, I don't think it's a programming language.
Besides, by now, any regular reader should know that 50% of what I write is just joke
